About Us

NWCVS provides information, advice and practical services to local organisations and enables voluntary sector representation on a wide range of issues. We produce a bi-monthly newsletter which is sent to more than 300 voluntary and statutory organisations in North Warwickshire and is on general public issue. We also run a range of training courses and offer advice and information on funding issues. Primarily, the type of information and support we can offer groups includes:

  • Funding advice, including one-to-one support for groups searching for funding bodies and writing funding bids.
  • Help and support in setting up a community and voluntary sector organisation, including writing constitutions, registering as a charity, training a management committee
  • Developing a community and voluntary sector organisation, including additional training, policy development and quality standards
  • Keeping groups in touch with local and national issues affecting the community and voluntary sector

We have a library of information on a wide range of issues and computer packages that will find out who you can approach for funding. Help with funding applications is available FREE of charge, just call to make an appointment

NWCVS helps many groups by providing a forum for networking and joint working. We often represent the sector in negotiations with the statutory organisations like the Police, Council and Government to ensure the voices of local groups are heard.

In addition to this NWCVS develops and manages a range of projects including Millennium Volunteers, Fusion, New Ideas, and User Involvement.
